If you have followed me for any length of time you will know that I absolutely LOATHE surveys as a way to earn money online. Well, that's not entirely true. I don't really hate the surveys themselves. It's more so the hoops you have to jump through just to be disqualified after spending all that time hoop jumping. I know quite a few people who make decent money doing a lot of surveys but for me it has always been a complete and utter waste of time.
However, there ARE a few exceptions to my general experience with survey platforms. One such example is an app that offers this kind of opportunity is called 1Q. This app commits to paying you instantly by answering simple questions all from your mobile phone. It certainly sounds very easy. But is it for real though? Is it a legit app or is it just another scam you have to stay away from that will waste your time like so many others?
What is the 1Q.com mobile app and what exactly does it have to offer?
1Q.com or simply known as 1Q, is a market research company that allows different brands to engage with their audience in real-time. They do this through single questions. In exchange for this, 1Q will reward you in PayPal cash for answering these questions. So, in this regard, they are more or less a survey app. Now, the answer to whether the 1Q app is a legit app or not is a resounding YES! It is indeed a legit app that will actually pay you for answering short and simple questions.
Simple As It Sounds?
The name 1Q is actually shorthand for "1 question". Simple as that. So basically, you earn from this app every time you answer one question. That’s how simple it is to earn from this platform. One simple question. Not 42 pages of qualifier questions you spend 20 minutes going through for a promise of a 4 minutes survey and then you get disqualified after that first 20 minutes wasting almost a half hour of your day......
Can you tell how badly I've been burned before?

When you log in to the app, you will see something similar to the photo shown above. These are the types of questions you can answer to earn money. So, when you open the app, you will immediately see any and all questions available to you at that given time.
Each question is worth $0.25. It’s not much, but considering it only takes a few seconds to answer a question, I would say the amount is actually not that bad.
It's also important to note however, that every once in a while, you will receive a survey-type opportunity that will involve multiple questions. But even though it is a survey-type opportunity, you will still get paid per EACH question you answer! For example, if you receive a survey that has four questions, you will receive $1 (4x$0.25) once you complete it.
There’s also another way for you to receive questions and that is through a text message. However, that will only happen if you give consent to the app to send you questions through SMS.
This is a good option to have if you don’t have a smartphone (for some reason) because you can still earn from 1Q. These will be the same questions that are made available through the app but it is just a different way of getting them. You can still sign up and create a profile online through their website, but as for the questions you can answer, they will send them to you through text messages. You just have to reply to those messages.
Now, if you are using the app, 1Q will never send you an email notifying you that there are questions you need to answer. So make sure to enable the push notifications of the app so you’ll know if there are available questions. This eliminates the need to constantly open your app to check for available questions.
How do you get paid?
As mentioned above, every question you answer will earn you $0.25. The good thing about this app is they do hold to their promise of paying you instantly.
So, every time you answer a question, you will get paid via PayPal instantly. Compared with other survey-type apps, this is really a very convenient option because you won’t have to wait to reach a payout threshold to withdraw your earnings.
How much money can you make?
The one downside of this app is, you won’t really be able to earn a lot of money from it. So, don’t expect to earn hundreds of dollars a month from this app or anything.
That being said, although you will only earn $0.25 per question, the actual time-to-money ratio of this app is surprisingly impressive. This is because you honestly do not have to spend a lot of time to earn rewards. At most, it will take you 30 seconds to finish answering a question (and that is only if your mobile internet is molasses in the winter time slow).
The number of questions you will receive will mostly depend on your profile. So, you can’t really expect to earn a regular amount. Sometimes, you will have a decent number of questions available, but sometimes, there won’t be any. It just depends on the key demographic the paying corporation is looking to question.
Can you use it on a desktop?
Unfortunately, 1Q is a mobile-only platform. This means you really need a smart phone or even a tablet to earn. But as explained earlier, you can earn from 1Q without using the app by answering questions through SMS.
Who can join 1Q?
As of the writing of this review, 1Q is only available in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. So, if you don’t live in any of the countries mentioned, then unfortunately, this app is not for you. You also have to be at least 18 years of age to use the app.

In my opinion, 1Q is an app worth using if you are in a country where it is available. However, you should be realistic in your expectations in terms of how much you can get out of it. You will not earn hundreds of dollars from it but you can still earn a decent amount without investing a lot of time.
